Jake Owen Releases ‘I Was Jack’ Video [watch] / Maddie and Tae Tease New Single

— Jake Owen has unveiled the new cinematic video for “I Was Jack (You Were Diane),” his new single inspired by John Mellencamp’s 1982 classic “Jack & Diane.” The video takes viewers back to the early 1980’s, as a love story between two teenagers – Jack and Diane — unfolds before their eyes.

The song “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” was obviously inspired by John Mellencamp’s classic “Jack & Diane,” so getting his blessing meant everything:

— Maddie and Tae are back! After nearly two years since their last release, the duo is heading back to country radio with a brand new song called “Friends Don’t.” The single will be released on Friday (4/27) as the lead track from their sophomore studio album and their first project with the record label UMG Nashville.

— Following the release of Sugarland’s new Taylor Swift-penned song “Babe” on Friday (4/20), Taylor took to Instagram to share details about the collaboration:
