— Country singer Daryle Singletary passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lebanon, Tennessee, on Monday morning (2/12). He was only 46 years old. The cause of death was not immediately announced as of Monday morning. Born in Cairo, Georgia, in 1971, Daryle moved to Nashville in the early 1990’s and eventually found success with hits such as “I Let Her Lie,” “Too Much Fun” and “Amen Kind of Love.” Singletary is survived by his wife, Holly, and their four young children. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

— Garth Brooks has earned just about every accolade there is over the years, and now he can add one more to that list. Garth has just been announced as the inaugural inductee into the new Live Hall of Fame, which was created as a place to honor artists who have made a huge impact on the live business. Upon accepted the honor during last week’s Pollstar Live! conference in Los Angeles, Garth told the crowd, “It’s a total shock and quite an honor. I don’t think an entertainer is anything without other people who allow him to do this.”

Garth’s newest honor comes following his massive three-year tour, which sold more than 6.3 million tickets and became the biggest North American tour by a solo artist.
